The Ronald McDonald House depends on the recurring generosity of the West Michigan community, and is not owned or operated by the McDonald's Corporation. Our agency is responsible for raising the funds necessary to maintain our 19,000 sq. ft. facility and the programs and services we provide. Our annual operating budget is approximately $500,000 per year, and 75% of this budget goes to provide direct support to families. The Ronald McDonald House is affiliated with Ronald McDonald House Charities and McDonald's Corporation through the RMHC canister program and the national RMHC World Children's Day initiative. The RMHC and McDonald's Corporation are supportive of our House mission, and the RMH does receive some contribution through the RMHC grant program.

The daily costs of operating the Ronald McDonald House and providing essential programs and services is approximately $80 per night/per family. In 2009, our House ran at close to 80% occupancy. The cost associated with providing our "Home Away From Home" is $1360 per day.
