Vision for 2011
- The Ronald McDonald House of Western Michigan provides a "Home Away From Home" to families of children receiving health care in the greater Grand Rapids area. No families are turned away from the WMRMH due to inability to contribute to their stay and all receive support and compassion. Every staff member and volunteer clearly understands and is committed to the mission of the WMRMH, as evidenced by their interactions with guests and the initiative they exhibit.
- The Ronald McDonald House of Western Michigan's facilities provide each guest and family with privacy and a restful, calming atmosphere that enables them to more effectively cope with the stress and challenges they may face. The facility and programs offered promote frequent, casual opportunities for guests to meet, get to know, and ultimately help each other. Like the facility in which they work, the staff and volunteers provide each guest with support unique to their needs.
- This spirit of collaboration and compassion extends beyond the walls of the Ronald McDonald House of Western Michigan as staff work with referral sources to understand the needs of guests, and then plan and deliver an environment designed to meet and exceed those needs. As a community based asset, the Ronald McDonald House of Western Michigan also seeks out opportunities to collaborate with other Grand Rapids organizations with common interests. A shared common desire to welcome and support families of children in need inspires creativity and improvement.
- Ronald McDonald House of Western Michigan is a program of a charity, serving the needs of our referral sources and the regional population with a broad diversity of services. On an ongoing basis, our capacity is evaluated and adjusted as needed
- Together with its Charity Chapter, Ronald McDonald House of Western Michigan solicits and gratefully acknowledges financial support from individuals and organizations alike, building lasting relationships with many contributors. Current and potential supporters and referral sources clearly understand the relationship between Ronald McDonald House of Western Michigan and its Charity Chapter and how the sponsored programs serve the needs of the community and our referral sources. Through a structured and defined plan of financial stewardship, contributions are invested in supporting current programs as well as endowing the future of the Ronald McDonald House of Western Michigan.
