Delacia at DeVos Children's Hospital

Delacia was born 16 weeks premature, and weighed only 1 pound, 6 ounces. She is fed intravenously at DeVos Children's Hospital and her mom, Keneistra, visits every day. She plans to stay at the Ronald McDonald House of Western Michigan for four months while her daughter gains weight and strength. Keneistra, originally from Jamaica, quit her paying job in Mackinaw City to care for her daughter. In addition to providing Keneistra with emotional and social support, the House gives her the ability, financially, to be at her child's side.
