The House that Love Built ®

The Ronald McDonald House of Western Michigan provides a supportive “home away from home” for parents and children seeking medical treatment in our community.

Last year, more than four hundred and fifty families counted on our House … a place to rest and rejuvenate their minds and bodies after a long day at the hospital. A child’s illness should never tear a family apart, but the strains on Mom and Dad, siblings and grandparents can be immense. Families are exhausted by anxiety, upheaval and financial worry.

No matter the diagnosis, the children and families we serve find comfort in knowing our House is more than a collection of rooms. It is a place where solace can be found in the kindness of strangers. Where simple comforts are provided and daily needs are met - a warm bed made with freshly laundered sheets, a home-cooked meal, and a quiet room for relaxation or prayer.

At the Ronald McDonald House, we do our part to address all concerns by providing overnight accommodations close to local hospitals … a safe, clean and supportive environment, where lodging comes without charge.
